Duke of Edinborough Award

The Krakens who completed their SRC last year have graduated from the Nipper Program and will be participating in the Water Safety & SRC Assist Program this season. They'll be rotating each week during nippers between providing water safety to our nippers and assisting our education team with SRC training via scenarios, mentoring and buddying up with an SRC participant. In addition, we'll also be organising some guest speakers to work with this age group during the season, and those who are eligible (13yrs & 9 months on Nov 1st 2018) are encouraged to begin the Duke of Ed Bronze Program.

Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award for Rookies & Cadets (ages 13 & 9 months to 18 years on November 1st 2018)

We encourage ALL SRC holders over 13 & 9 months to participate in the 6 month Duke of Ed program this season, as it will become a core part of our Youth Training Program- with the Silver Award being offered next season, and Gold the one after.

Orientation sessions for participants & families: 9-9:30am October 21st or 28th (just before nippers starts) in the meeting room.
